Michael Gioia is a general litigation attorney at BBC Law LLP in New York. He concentrates his practice in tort liability and represents a variety of businesses in claims involving construction (NY “labor law”), premises, motor vehicle, and general liability.
He has substantial courtroom and deposition experience, including appearances throughout New York courts. Michael has many years of litigation experience handling insurance defense and general liability matters from inception through resolution. Prior to becoming an attorney, Michael spent nearly 10 years as an insurance defense paralegal, providing him with a strong foundation in litigation support, discovery, record reviews, export coordination, and trial preparation.
Michael has also spent his free time serving as a New York Law School Trial Competition Coach since 2017, working to inspire and motivate future attorneys. He’s been recognized as a “Rising Star” rated by Super Lawyers in 2025 and 2026.
