Melisa Buchowiec is an Associate at BBC Law, LLP’s Philadelphia office. She concentrates her practice on the defense of clients in the areas of premises and liquor liability, automobile law, general liability, professional liability, and construction law.
Prior to joining BBC, Melisa gained experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury matters. Melisa has handled very busy caseloads and has experience in all facets of litigation including depositions, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, alternative dispute resolution, and jury trials. She also sits as an arbitrator in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas.
Melisa graduated from Villanova University School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board. During her time at Villanova Law, Melisa also successfully obtained asylum twice, for refugees who fled human rights abuses in their home countries and were seeking asylum in the United States. Being born in Poland, Melisa is fluent in Polish, and she currently lives in Philadelphia. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her very active Weimaraner, Kaiser, and Miniature Dachshund, Fiona.
