
Melisa Buchowiec is an Associate at BBC Law, LLP’s Philadelphia office. She concentrates her practice on the defense of clients in the areas of automobile law, premises and liquor liability, and general liability. She also handles pre-suit matters by working with experts and investigators to direct early investigation and manage large claim exposure. Melisa believes in working together with the Client to come up with an individualized and unique approach for every case, that best achieves the Client’s ultimate goal of a fair resolution.
Prior to joining BBC, Melisa gained experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury matters. Melisa has handled very busy caseloads and has experience in all facets of litigation including depositions, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, alternative dispute resolution, and jury trials.
Melisa frequently sits as an Arbitrator for the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas. She has also been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in 2023 and 2024 and Best Lawyers: “Ones to Watch” in 2024 and 2025.
Melisa completed her law degree at Villanova University School of Law and her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University. Being born in Poland, Melisa is fluent in Polish, and she currently resides in Philadelphia. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her very active Weimaraner, Kaiser, and Miniature Dachshund, Fiona.
