Kimberly “Kim” Mogck is a Partner at BBC Law and focuses her practice on high-end damages defense in catastrophic injury cases. She offers distinct insight into these types of cases, having over 20 years of litigation experience, 10 of which were spent as in-house counsel at a major Philadelphia health system managing medical malpractice claims and litigation. In this role, Kim was intensely involved with all aspects of developing an aggressive defense strategy, ensuring that the strongest defense was provided on behalf of the health system and its employees. Kim collaborated with outside counsel to achieve the best possible results in hundreds of cases during her tenure. As in-house counsel, she also represented health care providers in professional conduct investigations initiated by the Pennsylvania Department of State and counseled health system clients on issues involving patient care, informed consent, advance directives, guardianship, privacy, and various regulatory requirements impacting the delivery of healthcare. Kim lectured extensively within the health system on medical/legal liability and risk reduction with the goal of educating healthcare providers on best practices and ways to manage and mitigate risk.
Kim lives in Glen Mills with her husband and their two children. She enjoys travelling to cheer on her son and daughter at their cross country and track meets and is an active member of the Penncrest High School Cross Country and Track and Field Boosters. Kim is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loves spending time with her family in Cape May, NJ.
