With more than three decades of experience, Lisa M. DiBernardo is a seasoned legal professional whose practice encompasses a variety of areas within the casualty/insurance defense arena. She has successfully represented thousands of clients in cases involving general liability, automobile and trucking accidents, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, premises and product liability, insurance coverage, fraud, and arson/fire loss. Additionally, Lisa’s practice features a broad range of work within the burgeoning field of construction defect litigation.
Lisa has significant experience trying cases before the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, and other state courts throughout Central, Eastern, and Northern Pennsylvania. She also has extensive experience arbitrating and mediating cases for clients. Lisa is committed to maintaining close lines of communication with her carriers and, in particular, clients so that she can help them navigate all aspects of their experience within the legal system.
Lisa is often invited to speak on myriad legal issues and topics – she has lectured locally, for the Lancaster Bar Association, and regionally, for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, and Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. She has been appointed by the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas to the Chairmen’s List for Judicial Arbitrations by virtue of her trial experience.
Lisa earned her J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law in 1989, where she was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, Lisa graduated from Bucknell University, where she was an Academic All-American in Division I Softball and graduated with honors.
Lisa, her wife, Kim, and two shelties live in Lancaster, Pa. They are supporters of Habitat for Humanity and Lancaster’s LGBTQ Coalition, for which Lisa serves as an Advisory Board Member.
